yeah $3k/month in property tax is pretty ridiculous. I pay less than $3k/year in property tax for two properties, and taxes in Toronto are pretty high.

I’d like to find out where you can rent a place for less than the cost of purchasing, simply because;
rent = expenses for property + landlord profit

renting a home equivalent to the one I own would cost me $350-400/month more as I don’t need to pay the landlord on top of the expenses to live there.
