@Arafelis: People would probably have to grow up mid flight because crew would be REQUIRED. Children are best suited because they are less likely to expire before they reach their destination. If the tiniest rock makes a crack in the hull someone would need to fix it. And it's another reason they are always fixing

@Arafelis: Well no one has been pregnant in space yet so we don't know if there are any birth defects associated with zero gravity or radiation. Or even bone and muscle mass loss. With reduced muscle mass comes reduced blood volume which means reduced nutrients in vitro.
