I do like a good Pilsner. Boulevard makes an excellent "KC Pils", which is kinda like a yard beer with more flavor and a bit more body- still very smooth.

Caught David Hyde Pierce in one of the promos, telling his son "homosexuality is an illness." That has gotta be tough- I know it's acting but still.

Yeah one of the bum notes here is that Moonlight's win- which is well deserved- is a little overshadowed by the craziness. Then again, nobody's gonna forget THIS Oscar moment, so maybe it'll help in the long run.

I'm more inclined to chalk this up to error. I always thought the Academy Awards had some procedure in place in case anyone said the wrong name, but since it hasn't happened before, well, I guess they got a little lazy.

Yeah, she thought he was doing a bit and just said the name on the card, whereas he seemed to be stalling because something was wrong.

I think that worked out for the best. I actually did prefer La La Land by a smidge, but people are tired of Hollywood awarding movies about itself and there was already a backlash, and if it won Best Picture it'd forever be "that really undeserving Best Picture winner" like Shakespeare in Love, Crash, Birdman, etc.

I was impressed by Saunders' singing chops, particularly when she belts out "Holding Out For A Hero".

I think the "lone warrior" covers are popular because they're easy to alter to fit any shape of ad banner or other marketing image you need- you focus on the *one image* of the game and that defines it throughout your campaign.

I loved that the FIRST reaction shot of Sara to Gwen was her making the hungry eyes.

This is why people use ad blockers.

The Lego Batman Movie was indeed very fun. Not quite as good as the Lego Movie, forces a bit of the emotional stuff near the end, but whatever, it's still really funny and full of tiny treats. "British robots! Ask your nerd friends." Plus really you could just have Arnett as Batman doing anything and it would be funny.

Shit, 47? That is hard to take. RIP.

The men who perpetrated this atrocity sound like a bunch of turkeys to me.

It starts as irony and is reappropriated.

I don't think he will be in this version, though apparently he will still be somewhat smaller.

That would actually explain quite a bit about dog behavior.

Went and watched Southland Tales. I have to give something as insanely ambitious as this a look even if it doesn't work- there are some interesting stories buried there and Kelly really should have just taken them on one at a time instead of aiming for this weird Altman/Vonnegut/Firesign pastiche.

Anything Amy Sedaris does is worth a look at least.

She's such an amazing dancer. Never noticed that before.

People, have we all forgotten Ping Pong Girl?
