It reminded me a bit of Attack on Titan and the odd-looking giants (in the anime, not the live action version which was apparently awful)- there's something almost comical about their appearance, but the sheer wrongness of them makes it scary. Ditto this.

Of the open world games I've played so far it has one of the best environments. I haven't even unlocked the other cities yet but just the neighborhoods and surrounding countryside is something you can get lost in. (Though on that note I think they may have done too good a job emulating the Los Angeles freeway system).

The interaction between Jess and Holt made it all worthwhile.

I'll take what I can get.

Why is this field not as valid a one to complain about equal employment opportunity as others?

The whole time I was watching Magnificent Seven I thought Jennifer Lawrence was in the movie.

I do think it's kinda weird that he can't accept that some people somewhere still like the prequels and find merit in them. It's not a fight, you don't have to win.

Indeed how could you foresee that a show with a mostly black cast would cover themes of race.

I don't see how you can argue Scott was the "least important" name on Blade Runner. Yes, the art direction is amazing, the script's solid, the performances are good- but the director does have a say over all of that. It didn't just come together by chance. He knew what he wanted out of the project.

Probably had an earpiece, I would imagine.

I lost track of this last season but am jumping back in. These last two episodes have been pretty solid, and I like the weird kind of equilibrium the group has.

I dunno, though, movies and TV are different beasts, if Netflix stops being a good place to watch feature films that's notable in itself even if TV has strictly "more" content.

You guys have a few things we don't, though not a lot. Still you have Galaxy of Terror and that counts for something.

I am really hoping that before Treverrow starts shooting Star Wars Ep. IX that he takes some lessons in color composition because yikes.

But why would you have a sketch where it's clear the entire purpose is to see how much Kate McKinnon can break her costars, and then not show it?

Oh yeah and I just saw Roar on TCM Underground, the movie where everyone making it was almost IRL killed by big cats because the director and his family were living with them like pets and it's every bit as insane as promised. Like it's constantly walking this line between slapstick comedy and sheer terror, the

I'm hoping Antoine Fuqua puts out a director's cut that's basically the exact same movie but with the last 30 seconds trimmed out.

Watched The Phantom as it was about to go off Netflix. Kind of a cute little pulp adventure movie- it has a lot of flaws, mind you, but it also has Catherine Zeta Jones as a sexy lady pirate so there's that.

A lot of the early complaints related to itemization, which has been revised quite a bit, but I found it loads of fun at least on the first playthrough. (Story fizzles out rather badly though.) It's a clickfest but you do have to pay attention to your position and keep moving to avoid damage and all that.

As far as I can tell it's the only webcomic ever to successfully transition from mostly gag strips to actually having a detailed story and a large cast of characters.
