Yeah for me this isn't the biggest temptation you can throw out there.

When the failure makes for a better outcome, I'll take it.

I'm vaguely curious as to how they got the chicken to stay in place.

It's a damn shame that the Director's Edition was done for standard def DVD, and they can't really put it on Blu Ray without either upgrading the effects or having it look really cheesy.

The models did pose a bit of a problem since unlike ILM, the effects house they subcontracted hadn't worked with them and weren't sure how to avoid blue spill on the Enterprise (since it's all smooth and shiny, unlike say, most of the miniature ships in the Star Wars movies.)

That he has a sense of humor?

Her Iggy Azalea gear made up for it. Good look for her.

I've completely forgotten the timeline on the Edwards scandal, but it was pretty much just Obama and Clinton for most of 2007 right?

It's weird, their first song was a terrible "trucks and whiskey and hangin' out on the porch" cliche, then the second was some kind of weird freaky shit that kinda worked.

I think it actually did bite at her appropriation- with her literally taking the other person's hat and such. It definitely played off her being seen as a poseur, at least.

Honestly Jost mangling that one line made the whole bit so much funnier than whatever it would have been otherwise (assuming it was an actual flub.) So kudos to him.

Started on Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, am about 4 episodes in. So far so good!

I think this must have been one of the last times someone used stop motion for a movie monster. A shame really.

Do people actually think Seinfeld invented that concept?

I think blaming "storytelling" is going the wrong way- god knows RAW in the Attitude Era had way more skits than matches- because if anything they're not working hard enough on the stories. The main eventers get storylines, the midcarders get these weird scraps of them that are abandoned quickly.

February isn't necessarily a burial slot for (I assume) a fairly inexpensive comedy, but definitely being put on the shelf this long is not a sign of confidence.

In fairness Atwood softened on her initial stance (largely due to prodding from Ursula K. LeGuin.)

Zardoz was a pretty cheap movie, actually. It looks great but only cost a little over 1.5 million dollars.

Depends on the copyright situation. Usually movies based on real life are based on a book or similar purchase specifically to protect the studio from any IP claims- some people are public figures and their lives may be public knowledge but it's tricky trying to navigate that.

Drunk Cece was amazing. That weird voice (similar to her creepy baby voice some years back.)
