As a SPED teacher that drove me nuts. I feel like they only showed a handful of students whose parents signed releases because she had about 3 students. Also, I found it creepy that her students helped her make a card for Nick.

We come in all shapes and sizes.
You forgot “superior aryan sexiness.” RAWR.
I just commented this, but OMG this is going to be a long few months, maybe year, of hearing all about it.
If it’s still in print I highly recommend Tina Brown’s “The Diana Chronicles.” Yes, Tina Brown of “Vanity Fair” and (gasp) “The New Yorker.” There’s a small section on what the Palace had to do to accommodate Barbara Cartland at the wedding, since she was a popular celeb herself, but not particularly liked by any of…
Her daughter Raine was Diana’s evil stepmother.
Thanks for bringing it up. I dated a girl briefly ages ago who had a large collection of Cartland’s books, and mentioned that it was Diana’s mother or grandmother or something. I remember trying to look it up later, and had forgotten the details, and could only find boring aristocrats. I’m happy to learn that she…
Her daughter Raine was Diana’s evil stepmother.
A question for any British readers.
Step-grandmother, actually. Her father married Cartland’s daughter.
From 1975 on she was styled “Lady Diana Spencer” (thanks internet) so I have NO idea why they spun her as a commoner or why they got away with it! But they did! They even refer to her as LADY Diana! Still a lot of people still think of her as having been one of them. Boggles.
Reading this raised goosebumps on my arms because even though I know the awful truth, my 7-year-old ass requested a dawn wakeup call so I could watch this on our living room floor while wrapped in my Barbie sleeping bag. Def obsessively rewatching.
Can we talk about everyone’s dresses though... and how amazing everyone looks?
Living for all this new Diana footage. (I know this isn’t new, but the restoration is.) She is such an inspiration.
Oh, I was one of those up at the crack of dawn ladies! Well, I was merely a girl then. My mom and I slept on the sofa bed in the basement so we could watch the ceremony together. I was 12. It was sort of anticlimactic, after seeing Di’s dress.
I no-foolin’ do not know what the take-away is supposed to be, here. (Mostly) white media hasn’t covered white supremacists enough. If they cover it more, they might give the work to (mostly) white reporters/journalists. White supremacists want to harm POC and POC journalists can be directly endangered if they try to…
I think the Alt-White guys should only be interviewed by members of GWAR.
The reporter from Vice was able to get a lot of good material from that jackass in Charlottesville.
Now, I don’t wear makeup, so maybe I’m biased. But of the many women I know who do, it’s never about dudes. Dudes, at least in my experience, don’t give a damn about makeup. It’s for themselves, or other women. I’m sure some women do it for dudes, of course; just because I don’t know them doesn’t mean they don’t…
It also seems like it could be fun to do.
