That person sounds seriously unhinged and toxic for the work environment. I’m in HR and I wouldn’t touch her as an prospective employee with a 10 foot pole. Sometimes it just doesn’t work out in a work environment. You move on, voice your frustrations to your friends, and get a new job.

I learned a rule from a friend a while ago, and have come to believe in it 100%.

In principle, librarians are real heroes, and the librarians of my childhood certainly were.

I know she has spoken extensively about growing up in poverty, and how her parents still tried very hard to expose her to art, music & literature. I bet libraries were a huge part of her childhood, so it makes se see that she is involved with them—-& she probably also donates money & serves on some boards.

Let us know if she just stands at the podium with a laptop while a voiceover plays on the speakers.
