I would spend the extra $10k on the BMW in order to avoid going to a Toyota dealership. Plus the BMW is less likely to be marked up by idiots overvaluing the car.

I’ve been paying some attention to that as well. Are you sure it’s not just the US spec full 382 hp version being 3.9 vs EU spec ~340 hp version being 4.4?

This was my main point. Why are people bashing the fact that its a BMW underneath...since when did people think Toyota was a more upscale and exciting brand than BMW? 

I could sort of see BMW fans making fun of the Z4, saying it’s “just a Toyota,” in the way the Saab 9-2X was a Subaru Impreza, or how a Jaguar X-Type was basically a Ford Mondeo.

I absolutely love the sweeping lines of this car. I think they nailed the silhouette.

Not a bad angle on it! I like it a lot. That side profile though...very nice! Also love the big ducktail spoiler, if you can call it that.

Really hope the auto 8 speed is a ZF 8 speed. That thing can read my thoughts, and I’m ok with that.

I agree that Toyota really phoned it in. As a BMW owner, I say it’s fine because you get a BMW interior at Toyota prices. Wait, the Supra costs how much? Fuck you Toyota.

1) I don’t understand why people are so upset about BMW switchgear in the car. So what if its BMW switchgear and infotainment? It’s certainly higher quality than anything in a Toyota. Despite having nice switchgear, the Lexus Infotainment is a UX nightmare.
