Ah ok... I like the naked styling of the KTM Duke as well.

Oh F! It’s not a passenger train? Well, all good... I would’ve just loathed the fact that I’m sitting in my cubicle typing this rather than being on that train. I don’t have to feel so bad anymore.

Why is the Ninja 300 not in your choice list? Just curious... as it’s widely regarded as the best beginner bike for a long time except that it now has some stiff competition.

Well, in addition, he should’ve been wearing leathers and not jeans... he ended up with torn jeans and could’ve been much worse.

There is a reason for the importance of that hairpin. If you continue in the direction of that crashed rider (the road has an up-incline), it opens up to a straight - so, riders tend to accelerate too early to get a good exit. The road before is quite twisty and it’s one of your first chances to “open ‘er up”.

I have stood at the exact hairpin, on what’s “affectionately” called The Snake, to take pictures. That crash barrier sure deserve that title... but still, I always get great pictures, especially when Hollywood stuntmen turn up.

This technique works really well! I started doing this first for cauliflower that I prechop and store in the fridge... microwaving helps soften them up and then I started doing it for potatoes.

Sad to lose both of them and it hurts me to say this but the correct side won in the end and this was the right call.

Since this comment thread has both bikers & car guys, I’d like to point out something I realized this weekend while driving through the 101 in LA at “late dusk”. Bikers need to get some damn headlights and stop acting so elitist...

As with another incident a few months back on this blog, both are at fault. You could argue that the car guy was more at fault but that’s just arguing the extent of wrongdoing. Both need to get stiff reprimands... maybe burn the license of the car and put the bike guy on extended real-world bike training. Both are

I’m guessing it’s a closed road but what would they do if they saw a vehicle coming the other way... that’s probably why dashcams were made.

Why is it the Russians always seem to have all the good, crazy ideas?

In my mind, the idiot is reaching a whole new level of idiocy when he throws his hands up because I’m imagining him blaming the guy in the white car... The idiot is idiotic enough that that is a possibility!

Ah... bummer. If you don’t use your Kindle a lot or can stay away from it for a few weeks, I’d say you should still trade it in. In the past month, there have been at least 3 promos (including this one) on Kindles. In all likelihood, you’d be ready for the next one.

For me, ti took about a week in my case for them to process and deposit the gift card. I bet you can strike something if you contacted customer service... they’re quite flexible in legit cases such as this/yours.

I traded-in my first gen PaperWhite for a new gen PaperWhite... worked out a treat!

Yes, it’s a very good point. I was recently at a presentation by Toyota about the engineering behind their Mirai and their main point was that they’re encouraging the development of infrastructure along with the development of the car. Competitors such as Hyundai, Mercedes & Volvo have a consortium to encourage the

The Model 3, IMO, is a pretty big stepping stone for all of us (buyers, haters & non-buyers) and the car industry as a whole - not in terms of technology but in terms of accepting the design. This is the first car without “traditional” design elements like the grille, a dash with buttons and an instrument cluster.

Nothing on the HoloLens?
