I don't think it was disproportionate, but they didn't do enough to focus on issues that mattered to a wider base. We can blame the media, but ultimately it's the party and candidate's job do anything they can to draw attention and steer the conversation. Trump did that, we didn't. The whole thing was pro-wrestling:

If you're going to cite Wikipedia, at least read the article. Nowhere in it is the word "gender" even mentioned outside of reference titles. There is this section though:

Probably, but when it does, it's more emotionally jarring than people realize. All it takes is a couple times, then they'll start attributing unrelated events to it. And it's not just a direct attack; it's the general sense that an opinion on an issue that affects white men and any other demographic is inherently

How many people could name 37 colors? And nearly everybody sees color every day.

The joke is about priorities. Nothing more. It doesn't ridicule Tindr for making this change or at the transgender community for needing it; it mocks the media and the rest of us for making it a major story.

A percentage of Trump supporters are full-on racists and fascists, but we all see them. We get upset that his other voters see them but didn't feel obligated to distance themselves.

They had the plans, but nobody could communicate what they were. Compare the GOP platform to the Democrat's, not for content, just for presentation. The GOP platform vacillates between horrific and empty, but it's easy to read, direct, and dynamic. The Democratic platform has good ideas, but dear lord did they need

You call yourself a Built to Spill fan and you don't have anything by Treepeople?

That's the one:

The one SDRE track that got released during the last reunion was completely stunning, and showed there was still a lot of potential greatness to come. It's a shame they couldn't pull it together.

Taste in music is subjective, and there's really no right or wrong answers, which kind of made it surprising that you managed to find a wrong answer with Quasi.

The NPR comments section is a pit. This is an improvement.

They killed off Maude because they wouldn't pay her voice actress enough to fly out from Colorado to record a few lines a week. Both sides eventually worked it out, which is why we get the occasional flashback or hallucination.

It kind of has. See Robert Zemekis's first movie, "I Wanna Hold Your Hand".

The irony is a lot of parents will drop their kids off to see this movie because they're too busy to spend time with them.

Man, Shakespeare must be salivating at all the people he could sue. Somebody should totally email him.
