Yep, pretty much this. I have the self control. If it’s lotto based stuff, I’m off. If it’s spend $ on a skin pack, a la Titanfall 2, I at least know what I’m getting and can judge the worth, y’know?

I mean...I’m happily married with a kid, dog and house, but whatever. I agree microtransactions are a bane of gaming right now but it’s unfortunately the new norm. I still do my part not to buy into them.

Unpopular opinion, I’m looking forward to playing this tomorrow. The story and graphics sold me on this. I’m going to play it and hopefully like it. I’ll give multiplayer a shot and skip the paid loot crates. Doing daily challenges we will see how that speeds things up, if it’s a chore then I won’t play it. Everytime…

Nice write up! I played through Last Guardian last year, it was good but it didn’t have as much of an emotional punch (just my opinion) than Shadows or Ico did, still a great game, but I think the wait and hype wore on it a bit for me. I tried to be unbiased but those feelings still seeped through the cracks.

That’s what we are led to believe! But that’s how the Mini NES was hacked. Someone took a USB to Micro USB cable and plugged it into their computer and because of people much smarter than me, they were able to hack and homebrew the heck out of it :)
