If I buy the expansion pack separately, does it affect the Switch Online Expansion Pass price?  I can't find a solid answer anywhere.

I always find myself in these weird outlier predicaments. Got my daughter her own Switch Lite for her bday a couple years back and she has her own copy of AC:NH and her own island, but she loved my Switch and my island so much that she pretty much took over that Switch.
