Very true, but in the Nintendo Pokemon games on the handhelds, you see actual things happens because of the grind. In a day in PokemonGo, you can collect some candy walking, collect Pokemon, collect items from Pokestops, and fight at some gyms, the rewards are a drip whereas the regular games are a stream of rewards.

Is the candy rewards only temporary or just happen to coincide with the Oct 26-Nov 1 festivities? If the increased rewards are permanent, that was a solid move on their part.
