Why would we expect those inner city charters to be anything but complete trash, especially in Michigan where the law specifically says they don’t have to meet the same standards as public schools in terms of academic performance and financial responsibility.

I’d like to point out that West Bloomfield (where the school is located) is very far from being Detroit. Using Detroit as a blanket city creates a very different picture.
