out of morbid curiousity i checked who was picked 67th and 81st last year, and it was Alvin Kamara(67) and Fabian Moreau(81). But looking back a few years the difference usually isn’t that stark.

Honestly though, I think it’s a pretty egregious decision. Houston doesn’t have a 1st or 2nd round pick this year, so it’s not like going 4-12 was going to at least give them a shot at getting a gamechanger. It’s insane that they have to *apply* after basic training is complete, instead of having it automatically be granted. I’m sure there are countless veterans who didn’t realize there was that extra step and have had it come back to haunt them.
