I mean, there are definitely films that get pulled due to incidents or money shortfalls, I can’t think of one where the money was spent and then they were like ‘no, nope, never...fuck off, we’re destroying it.’ Most of the time the producers will buy it to do something with it.

Movies this far into production are rarely shelved with this much budget.  Once you’re filming you usually try to cobble together some shit to atleast throw at the wall.  This was from a major studio with a major budget, those don’t get shelved often if ever.

I think it wouldn’t receive as much note but also very few films of this budget size get shelved and removed completely from the world. 5-15M movies occasionally get shelved completely but nothing in the 90M range (the original Batman ‘89 budget is within spitting distance adjusted for inflation).
