With all due respect, I disagree. Consequences to policy that will end in untold misery and death shouldnt stop at civil discourse. Anti choicers aren’t debating people, they’re ruining people’s lives to the point of death and proud of it.

Yeah, letting him be himself with these movies was a great thing.

Add some hemlock for American women.

Material historical literacy will get you past a lot of those roadblocks. All gun control legislature in the US has historically been used nearly exclusively to suppress leftists and people of color. That one’s actually really easy.

Further, all significant social change in the history of the country has been

I keep seeing “might as well kill your rapist if an abortion is gonna put you in jail,” which is true, but “might as well kill a Supreme Court justice appointed by a president who lost the popular vote if an abortion is gonna put you in jail” applies as well.

Eating them comes up every few years and usually some chef or another is quoted as saying they don’t taste very good. This is the first time I can remember seeing anybody say anything positive about the flavor. I’m certainly willing to try them if I see them on a menu. I’ll eat just about any fish.

I think Louisiana tried branding invasive Asian carp as “silver trout” or something like that, but I don’t think it’s worked.

Remember when Kotaku wasn’t just a video game site? Remember when Kotaku covered anime? Japanese snack foods? Nerd culture in general?

Holy shit, Cartman had a Clyde Frog doll on South Park, I thought it was just some generic made up thing.

As a kid I always imagined a sequel where Gizmo had to turn into a Gremlin to fight back.

I was a kid when Iron Chef started airing in the US, and at the time hadn’t had much contact with anything Japanese besides Pokemon.

IIRC, Takeshi Kaga was primarily a stage actor, and it was that kind of flamboyance and exaggeration that sent the original Iron Chef over the top and made it what it was.

I think part of it was the entire audience of Food Network. They didn’t want chefs to teach them to make things, they just wanted to watch them do stuff they could never do. Then they realized they didn’t even care about chefs which is how we ended up with Rachel Ray and Guy Fieri.

I could never get in to the American version, despite AB. It’s something about their chairman. The chairman character works for the original, but for the American version, you might as well have the show’s executive producer or the head of Food Network be the “chairman.”

It seems he was referring to ageism and not racism. He’s already tweeted that it was a poor choice of words and that he doesn’t believe white people face racism.

He’s going to be really upset when he hears about this new western lib fanservice anime featuring gender bending as its central plot point:

Drink Ovaltine.

Is it masturbation if it’s with your multiverse self?

Seriously. I had shingles on my back when I was 11, and I can say with much emphasis 25 years afterwards: Fuck that virus. To this very day, every time I get a phantom twinge or a random sensitive spot on my back, I worry that it’s shingles again. Absolutely brutal pain.
