Mainly because I HAVE known the “You have to like this, it’s important cinema” guy, and having heard that this was a sci fi variant figured I would check the reviews. Some directors are capable of delivering a movie that is different enough in cast or subject or what have you that it breaks the mold and becomes

Which to be fair for a lot of people is more manufactured ire than actual injury.

I think it’s because the general conversation isn’t “If you enjoy what Wes Anderson does, here’s another great example” - it’s “This is great cinema, and you MUST see it”.

You need writers for those shows, and until the writers get a deal they find fair, they’re not coming back to work.”

“We sent in our SEAL team to destabilize this nation while you watch LIVE ON CAMERA - but there’s a twist! There’s ANOTHER team out there - an EVIL SEAL team!”

I think it had a trend moment then it went back to being the modern update on the crock pot.

My first reaction, but there were two (at least):

There’s also the attempt up top to lump a few Marvel movies that aren’t really “Multiverse” - I get that noone really saw The Eternals, don’t blame them, it wasn’t a good movie. Eggs are also somewhat subject to different pressures - a large portion of the egg production was lost when the mass kills to suppress the avian flu happened. The market for new chicks was severely impacted when it picked back up because they not only were supplying for the commercial market but a resurgent domestic

Pretty much my immediate reaction.

I’m out east of the LA region, out in the sticks. We get the best of both - there’s an El Pollo Loco nearby with Foster’s Freeze desserts on the menu, and a couple drive through full Dairy Queens.

Or, I can look at the shelves containing many items that are finally settling in at just above the previous price that the items would have been priced at previously, and then notice they’re still at the reduced size that popped up during the inflation spike.

Don’t forget the twin engines of “shrinkflation” and rocket-feather.

We’re still dealing with the downstream of his wholesale uprooting of the mental health system in CA.

“Hey, everything gets standing ovations there. Let’s give it a shot.”

I’ll be honest, I thought this was an Illuminations production when I saw the trailer.

It wasn’t QR, but I asked a local place why they hadn’t updated their menu (it’d been a few years). They couldn’t afford the consultation fees whomever/whatever they were dealing with were charging and “didn’t know anyone who’d help”.

Biggest problems to widespread QR code adoption:
