But, the sand worms’ll be glad of the work - I heard it’s been lean times in their acting niche since the Lynch version of the story.

I talked about it in another thread the other day, but the barometer for success is also just different right now in the Age of the Rona, where studios are banking on the future of an IP that sees a turnout currently could have more so (fingers crossed) when things are more normal in a few years.

I feel bad for all the crew that just tore down those dunes only to have to build them back up again so they can get this movie out in 2 years.

IIRC he got groped, Weinstein style, by some sleazy Hollywood executive, and when he spoke out about it, he got black-balled by the executive, and he couldn’t get any acting work for a while. Glad we’re starting to see a Brendan Fraser renaissance. Been re-watching The Mummy, Blast From the Past, and George of the Jungle recently and they really do hold up. Should I check out Doom Patrol? I keep getting ads for it and can’t seem to figure out what the heck it’s about.

It’s for a role he’s playing in an Aronofsky movie about a recluse. Instead of wearing a fat suit, the man decided to actually put on the pounds. Kind of a reverse Machinist.

I kind of assume that he’s got the same ‘power’ that Warren Christie had in Alphas, when he played Cameron Hicks, and he was just extremely good at bank shots. His assassination of the guy being held in police custody was one of the coolest scenes ever seen, and that was ten years ago now.
