You can tell they went into this as the last season with the Angel War stuff. I wonder how they’re gonna make it so an extra season won’t drag.

Yeah. Never made any sense. The best explanation that I ever came up with is that Disney just said “Fuck you. We aren’t paying you.” Which might make sense from a corporate point of view, but doesn’t really seem to have any legal weight.

We’ll get a Squirrel Girl movie before we get a real Green Lantern movie.

I hope this means WE get to see something soon.

The fact that we’re getting an Eternals movie before a New Gods movie (much better property) just goes to show how much ass Marvel is kicking compared to DC. We’ll get a Squirrel Girl movie before we get a real Green Lantern movie.

I think with how much money movies cost, doing the comics-type “Hand over the reins to a great creative team and let them make magic” would be risky. But now that they basically print their own money, they’re willing to be less conservative with production.

I think it’s been more pronounced post-Feige-vs.-Perlmutter power struggle; since then, Marvel Studios seems a lot more willing to find auteurs and give them leeway to personally imprint the movie. The best thing about “Thor: Ragnarok” is that for all the MCU beats the story/action has to hit, it still feels very much…
