I'm generally a fan of this series but isn't

Yep...

This isn't just a matter of women being relegated to supporting roles in popular big-budget games, however. More often than not, these female subjects that fill out the background of the world in a game like Deus Ex: Human Revolution or Red Dead Redemption aren't subjects at all. Rather, they're built as virtual

Let me do a pre-post of the common comments so we can avoid clutter.

Oh man, I'm getting out of here. I can't deal with the inevitable comments here today.

Laterz.

Valid. Put that shit on some sourdough and we're talking.

I like your ideas and wish to subscribe to your newsletter.

It's got to start somewhere. I'm sure Richardson isn't the only person in fashion that takes advantage of models.

He looks so sad.

I bet he needs a hug.

From a running lawn mower.

Seriously, I'm buying!

Or you could sell/give it to someone else? Just saying....

These guys say: "Give the people with creativity and passion the money to do something large-scale. You'll be pleasantly surprised."

Director Ash Thorpe and his Project 2501 team recreated the title sequence, Motoko Kusanagi's birth, in a real-life environment, with a bit of CG added.

They haven't released it yet. It would take months of rendering to complete so I don't see it being done til sometime next year if they continue.

They didn't do an actual short, the stills are the product. Took me a bit to realize that, too.

Oh totally. I think while the film was... pretty awesome for what it was (plus, you know... it's how a lot of westerners like myself broke their anime cherry)... SAC was a much more "complete" iteration, and much more faithful to the manga. I can see why TV is king in japan, and film is going the way of the dinosaurs.

If you want a more complete Ghost in the shell i suggest Stand Alone Complex and SAC: 2nd GIG. The movie is amazing and timeless but the 2 seasons of the series are incredible.

Well, from the behind the scenes video and their screenshots on the website, it seems amazingly accurate. But...Wheres the actual short? Did they release it? quite confused...

Then they'll see you!

For the love of God, turn up the lamp light and don't go into that spooky looking place!
