Two problems with that, though:
1. Marvel has no interest in buying the Spider-Man film rights from Sony.
2. Sony will never sell the rights to anyone because Spidey is their cash cow. It simply will not happen in our lifetimes.

Given that the show bares little resemblance to the plot of the books, they already have shown who the big bad is in Season 1. We, as show viewers, just don’t know that yet whereas book readers are like “Wait, what? Why show that now? What’s the point?”
I’m thinking the COVID pandemic, movie theaters cratering and going out of business due to lost income, and other financial factors, have altered the physical release/streaming release order of things. I think, pre-March 2020, the order of releases was exactly what you said. Now? It’s a new order.
Not Gizmodo’s fault. It’s their owner G/O Media mandating these for clicks.
THANK YOU!!! I knew I couldn’t be the only person thinking of Tron’s Bit when Grogu got situatedin IG-12!
Not io9's choice. G/O Media owns this and several other formerly-Gawker sites and they demand slideshows for clicks/engagement. I miss the old io9.
Until G/O Media sells io9, we’re stuck with them. I’m glad that LifeHacker got bought by ZiffDavis recently but all other sites under the former Gawker umbrella (this one, Deadspin, Jezebel, Gizmodo, Kotaku, The Root, The AV Club) are stuck in slide show hell. :/
I mean, I dunno, like the whole him killing Gawker and using Hulk Hogan to do it because Gawker outed him? Beyond that...hmm, yeah. Nope, no idea.
1. I don’t think so.
2. I might want to.
3. *Casts Axii* I am going to play The Witcher 3 again.
They probably did. All of the former Gawker sites seem forced to make them (io9 gets a lot of criticism for that and their writers admit it’s not something they want to do in the first place).
It’s Liam Hemsworth taking over the role and not his older brother Luke who you seem to have confused for him. Luke was on Westworld (and the last 2 Thor films as the “Asgardian Thor” actor) and Liam was not.
Well played!
Working The Beatles into a comment? Take your star!
Yes, she utilized perfectly in No Time to Die. You wanted more of her character and scenes but that was just a taste.
The Gray Man, given the people who were involved in it, was a SLOG to watch and I couldn’t believe The Russo Brothers were attached to it along with the same writers from The First Avenger/The Winter…
100% GLaDOS vibes from K.E.V.I.N! First thing I noticed or thought about and then my mind went over to Arnim Zola from The Winter Soldier.
Referencing “The Boys” and maybe referencing Lex Luthor? Clever. Take your star.
Lucky that you were able to restart your attempt! I got super close to the end of Deus Ex: Human Revolution playing a no-kill/non-lethal playthrough and I think an unconscious villain I’d knocked out got killed by exploding debris right before I started the end game and I couldn’t go back to earn that achievement.
Agreed! I’m appreciating the diversity of accents in the new shows. Prior to The Mandalorian season 2 (Episode 15 “The Believer”), all Imperial agents spoke with an English accent. Hearing a good old boy Southern drawl coming out of the mouth of an Imperial was a shock but a pleasant one.
There were mass layoffs back in January. G/O Media wanted the staffers to move to LA or lose their jobs. Half stayed in Chicago and got severance packages so, yeah, AV Club is not what it used to be.
I’m guessing since the purchase of io9 by G/O Media, they’ve fired all of the editors and QC people. These typos and mistakes have been more and more noticeable the past 3 years. It’s sad.
