Agreed. And I get the sense that Roy's super-powered help might be needed to take Slade down or at least incapacitate him. I'm not sure Ollie can do it on his own despite his rallying triumph against Cyrus Gold.

Considering it's Ollie's fault that Slade got burned, disfigured and injured in the first place by running to the plane fuselage to save Shado as Ivo's men were bombarding it with artillery from the Amazo out in the water, I'd say you're right. The show *needs* to address Ollie's responsibility for Slade's near-death

The particle accelerator was used, though. Remember the city-wide blackout caused by its use and the news reporter saying that they were trying to shut it off because of a malfunction? I think whatever it was doing to the chemicals in Barry's lab as you saw them floating + the lightning outside is how they updated

Richard, as Devgal88 pointed out below, this is how Esther's reviews go. If you're a diehard fan of the show like myself you're likely to get annoyed or angry at the snark in her recaps. I honestly wish Charlie Jane or Rob Bricken would do the recaps. For a more balanced look at the show via recap, review or

I think their only good appearance was in "Blink." After that they just seemed watered down from overuse.

Y'know, it could be that I'm wrong about Barry's accident. The Greenarrowtv.com website seems to think it'll be this week. Hmm. Well, either way, I am staying up late when I get home Wednesday to watch this!

Oh, that is perfect!

Interesting about Namor and his film rights. Then I guess that spot on the world map seen behind Tony Stark and Nick Fury in Iron Man 2 was *not* supposed to be in reference to Atlantis' location.

Sorry about being the bearer of bad news but I'm right there with you. I'm loving Barry on the show and Grant's characterization of him. Giving the Flash his own pilot means more money for effects and hopefully a better intro for him versus being stuffed into an episode of Arrow that has its own story lines to deal

Patience. It'll air next year and right now is just in the script and casting phase. Hopefully the pilot will do well enough to give us a series.

Probably save that for The Flash season 1 finale in 2015, agreed.

Season 1's on Netflix Instant Video if you have it. Highly recommended viewing so you can be brought up to speed!

Um, I hate to disappoint you, Peter, but Barry's accident with the STAR Labs particle accelerator won't be happening next week in the mid-season finale or in the initially-planned-but-now-changed-episode 20 of Arrow. That is being saved for The Flash pilot which will air sometime next year on The CW.

Totally agreed

Er, peek, I mean. But, still, good to see the more fantastic elements make their introduction.

Yep, they weren't subtle about anything in last night's episode. Lightning flashes in the sky, the chemicals, Barry's comment about not being good on his feet, the reference to Professor Zoom, or maybe Red Tornado(?), murdering his mother, the list goes on and on.

Yep and it's now finally our first peak at metahumans in the Arrow-verse after weeks of teasing and buildup.

The particle accelerator accident in next year's Flash pilot might have unexpected side effects like super speed and, maybe, hair lightening. :p

Exactly. Giving Aaron nano-tech abilities? Cool. Dragging it out how those will work exactly over multiple episodes? Not good. Also, the Rachel/Miles stuff does not work for me at all. It slows the story down. I'll keep up with the show via TV.com or io9 recaps but definitely will spend my time with other shows.

Yeah, I stuck with it all of last season but this 2nd season has been nothing but a disappointment and snooze fest to me. Deleted the season pass so I could save room for other shows on the TiVo.

Maybe the STAR Labs particle accelerator accident in The Flash pilot will accomplish this? Wishful thinking. ;-)
