Not sure what you're talking about regarding the removal of search. At the top of the right-hand column there are 3 icons: Home , Popular and Search. Click Search and the icon gets a slight highlight. The Search box appears under the "Lifehacker on Facebook" frame — yeah, not very intuitive, IMO, but it's

The argument used most often by browser companies is that any time free software is bundled with the OS the less likely a user is to buy a 3rd-party product. If it ain't broke, why fix it? Because Windows is considered a monopoly in desktop/laptop computing, MS can't leverage their OS dominance to enter the AV

Until I tried PDF X-change Viewer, I had no idea that a PDF reader need not be a slow & bloated POS. Seriously.

Not sure what you mean by "We have to rely on some other company to solve our virus problems with Microsoft." They just can't install it with Windows by default, but you don't HAVE to rely on third-party AV when you can just get MSE. I'm sure your PC will be fine while you download it.

The right-click functionality was actually there pre-4.0. I constantly try and use it in IE.

Miren's APK only uses 6 MB, FYI. By comparison, Opera Mobile is a beast at ~20 MB, so I moved it to the SD card.

Miren is definitely a good browser and should be included in these tests, but I think Opera Mobile has won me over. Miren seems to have imported my Android bookmarks twice. :-/

@mmseng: So, you're the Question Nazi? Hell, even he limited first offenses to a 1-year ban...

@Norbs: Oh fuuuuuuu- *dry heave*

@Groucho Marxism: I think I'm most disturbed by the fact that he has junk now. Well, that and the terrible aloha shirt.

@diannevan: Isn't the resume behavior a function of how a particular app is coded? Laputa, for example, does in fact retain the book and page you were on.

@gerrrg: Coincidentally, I just saw a 3rd party app on App Brain that says you can use it to track Starbucks card balances and buy coffee using Mobile Pay — it's called Starbucks Card Widget. It may be crap, IDK, but it has 5 stars on AB.

@CapitalJigga: FWIW, the latest OTA update to the EVO brought Swype as an optional, built-in keyboard.

@OrbitalGun: I just use the website in the stock browser. It's ugly, but ultimately effective.

@Haneyg: My problems were: ESET firewall and router port forwarding. It works perfectly now.

@jbarr: It's not really so much a "silent installer" as an MSI running with a silent switch. This should get you started:

@acidrain69: I like re-usable Cliplocks for my bread and other things. Bought a set at the grocery store for like $3. They're pretty solid, they don't damage the bag, and no ridiculous bottle hacks needed. I will admit, they are savagely fugly-looking though. :)

@Brandt: Might as well, just make it a margarita, straight up. Tequila kills everything...

@sygyzy: They have some good ones over at AC. Barring that, yeah, just find out what resolution they need to be, crop/download your own, and put them on your SD card (instructions also available on linked forum):
