Any time anyone says "a gay boy." I immediately start singing the Unicorn Planet theme song. So thanks for the little bit of joy. Also, Kale's makeup is feee-ierce

ugh. I completely understand I'm working abroad for a year, and my SO had to stay behind because he's very busy and important. The weeks before I left, he was putting in 12+ hour days, and I was stressing about leaving, so we were pretty much to exhausted to do anything. Now we won't see each other again till…
Haha. I didn't wear makeup before I graduated from college (I really liked sleeping in in High School), so I thankfully escaped that trend. Otherwise, I'm sure there would be embarassing photos of me in the same.
haha. I was buying lipstick in Target today and I was thinking about how tragic the "(very) white girls with brown lipstick" trend was. All my friends wore the Wet N' Wild coffee color.
!!! I'm so happy it worked for you!
I posted it downthread, but I'll say it again. L'Oreal's Penenlope Red is my jam. I was so excited when I found it, and I'm usually not the drugstore makeup type.
L'Oreal Penelope's Red is pretty much perfect on my (light olive) complextion. It does, annoyingly, need reapplying often, though.
I call these Magic Band-Aids, and they are the best. I take a fresh box with me in my suitcase every time I travel somewhere where I have to walk more than normal. They're also godsends at the beginning of each season, when my calluses haven't fully developed. I also keep one or two in my wallet at all times for…
I enjoy doing my own nails, but I think mani-pedis are a nice treat, so I've been known to get them after work when I've had a bad day/week/month/semester, or am working out a problem. What this means is I'm usually totally spaced out when I go get them. Also, I have hearing problems to begin with, so I sometimes…
Hehe. I always do my brows the night before I have a nail appointment or body wax appt, because I so dread the "i do brows" upsell.
¡Órale! Where I come from, this is called "stuff your Abuelita does."
I dig the concept, but those accents are even worse than True Blood.
My thoughts exactly.
A-men. I feel the exact same way.
How do you do this? I am spending a year in Germany for work, and would love to be able to ship my baggage ahead of time, instead of hauling it around with terrible jetlag.
I feel you. I transitioned to Clinique Almost Lipstick in Black Honey about 6 years ago (about when I finished my BA), and haven't looked back.
Well, I'm 5'2", so the day they opened a BR petite store near to me was a happy one. However, the fact that the Gap carried shorter-length pants throuought my High School and college years was a godsend.
correct. that's why I find even less of a reason to shop there—the tailoring, cut, and quality is better at BR, and it's essentially the same thing—made in the same factories, conceived by the same designers, marketed by the same folks—yet somehow, BR occasionally comes up with something that makes me full of object…
Since 2002 or so, I've thought of the Gap as "cruddier Banana Republic." As in, I can get the same kinds of basics, with better tailoring and higher-quality fabrics, from the sale rack at BR.
