True, but I think that’s not quite a direct comparison. The Brits did a major overhaul of their currency (just after WWII, I think) and a pound after that was not quite the same as a pound before.

If it helps, I stopped thinking of this place as The AV Club a long time ago and now just trudge over here a few times a week to see if there have been any interesting blogs posted in between all the garbage. As a trashy pop-culture/gossip/news-aggregation website, it’s one of the less terrible ones.

That was the best thing I’ve read in the AV Club comment section in probably six years.

The Cramps song fit perfectly with the scene in the show. But a weird dance with a weird song is weird-on-weird. That’s too much weird for Tik Tok’s legion of theater kids, so they kept the weird dance and substituted a safe pop song to make the whole thing more accessible. 

Real “Arrested Development” energy with that word.
