I love that Yaccarino’s tweet got mercilessly roasted from both sides last night.

“may give Snyder the big yearslong franchise he’s wanted to be in charge of since 2013.”
He HAD a big yearslong franchise handed to him in 2013 (with a built-in decades-long fanbase, no less) and he fucking blew it because he’s a shit-ass filmmaker. What makes anyone think this rock tumbler full of rip-off ideas is…
I don’t have very many unbreakable rules, but the ones I do have exist due to extensive experience in not following them:
1- The second McMuffin is always a mistake. (it may seem like a good idea at the time, but you’ll pay for it, usually sooner than you think)
It's pronounced "Ezras Miller"
When reached for comment, every single veterinary care worker in America said, “yeah, fuckin’ tell me about it.”
You can dissect and defend the MCU TV shows all you want, but I will NOT stand idly by as you speak well of something said by Sam Barsanti.
Only focusing on character traits that advance the plot is how idiots have spent decades turning good Stephen King books into shitty movies.
Look, we found Elon’s Kinja burner!
Loved most of “The Imagineering Story,” right up until the last episode or two when they clearly had to back off from offering any sort of criticism once they reached projects that current executives were behind. That said, still a terrific show.
A valid point, but Bankman-Fried (like Lizzy Holmes before him) committed the cardinal sin of stealing from the rich. It’s one of the few crimes that can have lasting effects on a perpetrator’s future prospects.
I understand why people don’t like the sliding timeline, but I disagree strongly. It’s a terrific format for new creators to riff off previous stories or characters (hopefully being a little more original than this particular junk) while the overall larger canon can sort of pick and choose what threads to highlight…
There are so many good-to-great X-Men stories out there from the past 60 years*, there’s no reason to support such a shameless rip-off, especially with Greg freakin’ Land involved.
It’s a strained angle to frame what’s basically advertainment as if it’s something besides advertainment.
Thank god you’re here to set everyone straight.
It’s not about whether you’re trying to be funny. It’s about whether you’re being an asshole while trying to be funny.
Imagine your boss saying that to you. Seriously, think about being at work and hearing that, especially if it happened in front of co-workers. Now imagine both not respecting your boss AND also being aware that they could have you fired on a whim, meaning that even reacting negatively to being mocked could mean losing…
One of the first rules of being funny is "know the room." Yes, we all know people (and sometimes co-workers) who can handle these kinds of jokes and attitudes, but it doesn't mean that everyone should be subjected to them.
It took me a long time, but eventually I learned that talking like "the funny one" on a sitcom is not an appropriate way to behave in real life, and especially not in the workplace.
When's this ominous "storm" supposed to get here, anyway?
We’re talking about NASA, not Dave Matthews.
