The DS one looks dangerous. The PS3 one... actually looks like a normal building, except for the disc slot and "Playstation 3" written across it.

@rathorial: The issue is how OPEN they are. Not how easy they are to develop for, or how similar the architectures are.

@flashtut: That thing is out of date, too... Custom sounds ARE allowed on PS3 now. I know, my map has 3 custom songs. GTA4 theme, a Castlevania song, and Wesley Willis. There's also stingers like Konata saying "Timotei" when you die a bunch of times in a row.

Mario Kart had its run as the only kart racing game on the block. The statute of limitations is over (yeah, I know about previous icon based games, like Diddy kong Racing, and that crash bandicoot one... those don't count because 1. Diddy was still a nintendo thing, and 2. no one cares about Crash.)

Ok, the end was brilliant. And man that looks like it took a lot of work.

@Soul Owned: I don't think it's either. I think it's programmers not earning their salaries that are much higher than artists. Putting optimization mostly on the artists shoulders is not a good thing.

@presto117: Except the mod part. Except for FFXIV, which is not hitting 360 because of MS's wanting a lot of control over all online play on the 360. Neither of those are "hardware" issues.

PS3 is the most OPEN of the 3 current consoles. STILL. Linux is gone, but it can still use logitech controllers, still use any USB or Bluetooth KB/M and headset, and still has the only console game with full mods.

@yantelope: What if you like Harvest Moon, an FPS for multiplayer, an experience like Heavy Rain, and a good JRPG topped off with a dualstick shooter?
