Because the Earth is too bright. It's a very good reflector. Much better than the moon. EDIT: Or, this is a composite image... OK, well, I still think that if you're looking at the daylight side of earth from up close enough, you won't be able to see the stars very clearly.

TP, by nature, smears. Water doesn't smear, it dislodges.

Yeah, except you have it backwards. Bidets don't smear anything, they blast it off AND get through hair. TP smears. Bidets also don't require you to use anything on your Butt cheeks... Just the crack (and hole)

I haven't used a bidet for my whole life, but I've used one for the past 3 months, and I hate to have to go back to TP. TP gets caught in hair, it doesn't clean well (mostly due to the hair), and it leaves bits of itself inside. The bidet... Well, I have it on a pretty strong stream, which is probably important. I

Toilet paper doesn't handle the hair very well. Water does. Also, the water goes straight in, and straight down. It does very little splashing, and poo doesn't go anywhere but down.

I know. Japan has the worst toilet paper in the world, and their toilets tend not to clean themselves very well, but the seat-warming anus-cleansing bidet seats make it all worth while. Oh, I just wish mine had a butt dryer on it. That would make it perfect.

Well, this account was banned on my main blog because I said tl;dr back when they posted articles by this guy who essentially wrote novels on the site, and it took me a few minutes just to scroll down to the bottom. I don't often check this account, so that should explain the three weeks thing. As for white knighting,

Hardly. Move, for instance, was first patented in 2000, then revised in 2004. So often, they're accused of copying because they're too cautious, or when they're not cautious (Eyetoy) they put out a product that hasn't been fleshed out and their competitor works off of their idea and puts something out that's a little

Sort of like Nintendo tacking on a second analogue stick add-on to the 3ds in response to the interest shown in the Vita. Honestly, they ALL engage in me-too, and they all have innovations. It's just that Sony lead last generation (with the consoles, anyhow) so people scrutinize them more. The same thing is starting

Except the Wii's Vitality Sensor

What the hell is that supposed to mean?

@Bryan Pope: You haven't been around the Internet long if that's true. Or you're too busy eating various unhealthy things you enjoy eating.

Movie 4 will ruin book 4... There is a tearjerker scene in the 4th book that's turned into a cartoony mess in the Movie... Knowing ahead of time what it all actually means (meaning the pensive scene) will ruin the book for you. As for the rest, well... The books are more entertaining, but I suggest at least reading

So... No glasses needed, but you all have to cram into the "sweet spot"?

@Unionhawk: This... I hate auto smileys...

Kinect is going to rock! It can anticipate your movements ahead of time!

A friend of mine had a threat made against his life if he didn't give up his place in the Wii line. Got arrested. Turned out he was a soldier headed to Iraq the next day. It's possible the Wii wasn't his real target, but I'm sure a court martial isn't exactly the type of get-out-of-war card he was going for.

@FurySamurai72: Only in Pan and scan. Otherwise it's squished.

My parents watch pretty much all SD only TV on wide, but they do usually choose HD channels, unless it's broadcasting something SD (like how many reporters' cams aren't HD yet, so you see a border on the side of the image when watching it on HD) Then they turn to the SD channels and have it stretched out...
