I thought it was pretty good. I like the default double battles, the battle speed, and the difficulty. Some of the move changes were cool too, especially with Fly.

I'd like to have my Walking Dead save carry over, but I played the first season on Mac, and man that version was buggy as hell. Not to mention the download client was so bad I actually had to use third-party workaround for a game I paid money for.

Keep in mind I meant kids who are really young, like 8 years old and lower. One thing my little bro used to do with his DS was he always fiddled around with the top screen - after a few years the hinges came loose, and the screen would go blank unless you held in a certain position, making it basically unplayable.

Got me one of the Zelda 3DS bundles. I was reserved about getting one because while I had fun with the DS for a while, I completely stopped playing it after a couple of years. I figure since I'm getting a limited edition 3DS, I'll at least be able to sell it for a decent amount if it gets unused.

Agreed. My main problem with the game was the lack of choice. For a game starring a detective, where you solve mysteries, it never gives you any freedom in how you want to solve anything. You're basically forced to go along with an overly linear, often drawn-out sequence in each case.

Exactly. Handheld RPGs are fine, and there have been many great ones in the past generation, but I just don't find them as immersive. My favorite experiences in JRPGs have been getting totally lost in the game world, completely tuning everything out for a few hours, becoming absorbed in the soundtrack.
