I actually didn’t pay since I had a free ticket. Nice try with the blame game though.

Yes, you are mad about Bryan Singer, we get it. I think you’re misguided in spamming the comment section about it because in my experience that’s only going to turn people off of listening to you, but I guess you prepared for that by making a burner just for this post. I just want you to know: we see you and we hear…
Now I’m imagining a world in which Aaliyah plays the lead in every musical biopic.
Yes, exactly. I’m honestly more puzzled by people being shocked that a movie about Queen made so much money. Of course it made money. The movie isn’t unwatchable like many people complain it is, and word of mouth or love of the band was always going to bring in viewers.
The movie itself is...not good. The writing, pacing, directing, and editing, are all awful. I didn’t believe for a second Freddie’s relationship with his band mates, girlfriend, boyfriends, or parents. The time hops were choppy, the script was terrible. But holy shit was Rami Malek fantastic. I believed he was Freddie…
I’m not sure Aaliyah would have made a great Freddie, but I guess we’ll never know.
And where does the term “love” come in?
It took me a while to warm up to it, but now I’m right there with you.
Luke being a super cynical old man makes perfect sense to me, so much so that I seriously don’t understand those who are upset that Luke isn’t the idealist of the original trilogy. Yes, he was super idealistic...when he was young, but age and experience and seeing what happened with his nephew have chipped away at him…
