That is just convenient.

Um, is that a BMW kidney grill on the side?

Have you seen my search history? Bill, if you can hear me out there, help a brother out!

TBF, Hotmail was kinda the shit back in the hey-day. Probably made a metric shit-tonne more money off Hotmail than he would have Diablo; not to say it wasn’t a great game, but I’d be willing to bet that Hotmail had more of an impact on society writ-large than Diablo.

Purple and delete those dorky bumpers and you have a deal.

Nice ! Digital history from the 90s is wild. So many crazy stories or stroke of luck everywhere. I love the story about the guys at Blizzard refusing to lend an office to a friend who had a promising idea (although totally unrelated to games) while they were working on Diablo 1, which was not an easy game to do. If in real life you take the same road as in Ronin. Pretty sure you'd get lost 🤣

I did not have “Nikola beats Tesla to semi truck production” on my BEV bingo card.

Just me, but as long as Russia is going after targets of particular note, I’d probably not publish any such information. Good on Automotive News for painting a target on them.

Looking at that last photo, I think the builder used an analog tire pressure gauge, looks off by about 1.5psi. Could be a problem.

You’re stuff was built by a french company, Poma.  It isn’t a new concept, some cities in france have cable cars, Grenoble, Toulouse, Brest.  I think it is great to cross a large river or go up a hill or for cities with declivities like some in south america. They are studiying to make one from Monaco to la turbie

Human catapults! People ballista! Anthro-yeet-machine!

There are already systems like this in Latin America. I saw this in Medellin, Colombia where they have one called the Metrocable. It is an enormous success (16 million annual ridership on 5 lines). It is particularly great for cities in mountainous terrain. Locals there love it.

I agree except take back your cheap shot at the monorail. Monorails are everything.

The scammers have been out in force these last few years trying to capitalize on the new eco pedestrian urbanism movement. The Hyperloop, that stupid train pod thing, flying taxis, and now a gondola.

Just build some fucking trains. Proper long distance rail, light rail, metros, and raised track systems.

So, Paris France s going to copy Spokane, WA I’m sure the French will be thrilled to hear they are behind a US City that isn’t the biggest and most important city in its state.

Isn’t that more of a Shelbyville idea...

This only makes sense in certain conditions. Basically, as an alternative to a Funicular at steep grade changes. As horizontal transportation this is a horrible option.

There is active talk of bringing one of these systems to our city. Instead of just building out a proper underground system (they are building a grade level system currently that is choking off whole segments of the city by removing roads, as it is), they are being blinded by the vanity of the cable car.
