You get a lot of flying Teslas?

Interesting. It never crossed my mind that they weren’t sold in the same showroom as the car. The press releases at the time implied the new model would be listed alongside the rest of the range in brochures, etc, so I assumed the whole thing would be seamless. Clearly, that doesn't appear to have been the case...

They didn't, but I like your thinking!

Thank you for including me! If anyone wants info on the GTV6, check out the lengthy thread below my original post. My wife took the photo.

Perhaps you can use a fuselage shed to store your camper made from an old jet engine nacelle.

Supposedly the cops have a “person of interest”.

It’s just a fu**ing car. He wasn’t in it at the time and he wasn’t injured. Sure, it was wrecked in a spectacular and irresponsible manner and due t0 no fault of his own. But why in the world would he be entitled to anything above and beyond the cost to repair or replace his vehicle?  Seriously people?!

They’re wrong, CA is not a no-fault state. The 12 states with no-fault are Florida, Hawaii, Kansas, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, North Dakota, Pennsylvania, and Utah. In those states your insurance pays for your car and your injuries, period.

And not having a fucking cat in a vehicle like that.

I’m guessing if I had the social graces and skills to collect money from strangers because my car got smashed during a well known accident, it might be worth a shot.

In some jurisdictions this crime is literally called "stunting."

That is how it works out here in the PRC.

If you just got liability insurance on your vehicle, *your* insurance company will not help you with a claim against another driver.  They only ever “help you” with a claim because it takes money from the other party instead of themselves.

Doesn’t matter. He didn’t hit someone, someone hit him. He gets to be made whole while the other driver gets put in Federal Pound-Me-In-The-Ass Prison and then the other driver’s insurance gets tag teamed by the Subaru owner’s insurance, the city’s insurance, and everyone else that got damaged.

A “stunt” usually refers to intentionally risky behavior. The fact that movie stunts are handled with extreme precautions doesn’t change that. If we just called it a crash, then that would downplay the intentionally risky part. Lots of people have had crashes that were not intentional.

Uh, I’m not sure about how California works, but this would be covered by the other driver’s insurance, not his. You contact your insurance company, tell them what happened and the other person’s insurance information, then your company cuts you a check and sues their company for the balance. At worst, you file

A Youtuber/influencer behaving like a narcissistic, entitled, wanker?

I don’t think the word “stunt” assumes responsible activity either way. I think illegal stunts happen all the time.

Someone pointed this out in the other article, but Choi’s video should be flagged/demonetized for containing dangerous/illegal acts. You don’t even have to click into it to flag it on mobile (I hope that avoids giving him any revenue or any sort of engagement).

Please start a Go-Fund-Me to retain a good lawyer and sue the fuck out of the dipshit Tesla driver (and get the kitty taken away from him) instead.  Name as co-defendants every Musk-besotted moron who witnessed the wreck then failed to do anything about the driver absconding.
