I have a 2012 pro4x xterra, in stick! Coming from a GTI it feels like driving a big rig. Simplistic is very accurate, these things don’t even have outside thermometers. I do very much like mine though. It has been dead reliable. It gets along well enough off road. The aftermarket is very small indeed.

They didn’t choose this engine on a whim at lunch. Hours, days, weeks and possibly years of research/testing goes into a decisions like that. It was picked because it is the best solution for this vehicle. The engineers at Ford know more about making a truck than the armchair engineers (myself included) on the

I think the appeal is that they can do most things pretty well. 200 miles of freeway, bomb some fire roads, carry a little speed through twistys and then back on the freeway to go home. The average person is going to get very frustrated and possibly injured if they go beyond a very groomed two-track.

Its more about how that power is being made. Riding a single hundreds of miles can rattle your teeth out. The Honda 500 motor is buttery smooth and has very forgiving service intervals.

As a CRF250L owner I really hope they give the suspension some attention. It’s a great bike, takes a beating, and is reasonably comfortable for the category. With a few modifications and farkles it has turned into a great little camping trip bike. I know there are a few people riding them around the world currently

We live in wonderful times! Finally a motorcycle I can pick up and carry into my apartment. Love that exhaust!

I have a Cruz Tools kit on each of my bikes. Ive added/replaced a few things but they make a GREAT starting point.

We live in wonderful times. It warms my heart that the same company that makes the Volt will sell you one of these.

Greg Olsen is not the only person to do something stupid while young and in college. He just has the misfortune of being successful in a very public way. Plus, thats a funny song.

I recently participated in one of those Land Rover Experience driving schools. I was blown away with what the little Evoque can handle. It went everywhere the rest of the Rover’s went. Albeit with a little more commotion and effort.

How does it compare to the KTM 1190 R and BMW GSA? Interested to see how it fits within the spectrum.

I notice a huge improvement in this site since Sean came onboard. Some of the other kinja sites see sparse updates and thin articles. That is not the case here. You guys are doing a great job mixing up the themes of articles. I like seeing some non-motorcycle material mixed in now and then. One thing I would like to

I have a crf250l that is pretty well farkled for lightweight adventure riding. Ive taken it on week-long, camping based, trips and it’s been great. It has surprisingly good road manners and can handle a trail. Just not at the same speed a WR will. The Honda is a little heavy to really slice up single track, but is

More videos like this!! Good info, Wes.

You can get a crew cab Frontier with the longer bed. They are rare, but do exist. I have an Xterra (same mechanics) and am very happy with it. The 4.0 motor is pretty strong and I’m averaging 18-19mpg (mostly highway). I hear the turning circle on those long Frontiers is truly awful though.

Buy one. Buy two!

I tell anyone new to motorcycles that there will come a time when you start laughing uncontrollably inside your helmet. A private joy that is just you and the moment. Coming around a corner upon a beautiful landscape, executing a downshift>turn>exit perfectly, or a girl on the back holding on extra tight. Those

I think they are part of the American landscape. Like apple pie, pick up trucks and guns. Some things are just part of “America”. Being an American company helps too. Like UKPDXWRX said below... they are greater than the sum of their parts. Which isn't much really. I never understood the pricing of them, where is that

Slamming that shifter around seems like quite good fun! I have to guess this is the motor from the FZ09 made a bit bigger? If so, these will sound positively evil with an aftermarket exhaust. It isn’t always about being the fastest, its about how much fun you are having. Especially with a vehicle of this nature. That

This will be good for everyone. Porsche made the Cayenne and that funded all the extreme models that came since. Ducati (owned by VAG now) is trying to emulate that model. If anyone is thinking a Ducati “cruiser” won’t haul ass and handle very well, I think they will find that to be false when it gets made.
