If you're working with a graphics card a couple of generations too old, you can get some used cards on ebay for pretty affordable prices. I aw some GTX 570's going for less than $100. That would be a monumental upgrade over a 9800GT. Hell, Gtx 470's and 460's go for less.

I had a 40gb SSD boot drive and it really got cramped with Win 7 after a while, even when using it as a boot drive. Many programs will temporarily store files on the boot drive even if you try to direct them not to. But there are lots of deals on 128gb drives for much cheaper with rebates.

That's why I really like the Cinema Suites at the AMC theaters. It's a dine-in theater that is 21+, and the tickets are around the same price. You get to watch in a giant leather recliner, and you have a call button for the wait staff, and a retractable tray. I've yet to watch a movie in that setting with people…
