I like both moments, but those scenes are great examples of something that would feel corny if the rest of the movie hadn't been so fucking insane that both the audience and the characters desperately needed a moment or two of quiet, if only to catch our breath.

I agree. Jessica Jones isn't an enthusiastic hero like Trish wants her to be (and wants herself to be.) She's a somewhat reluctant hero in the flashbacks, compelled to do good with her abilities, but unsure as to how. She does, however, know how she DOESN'T want to be a hero, and that involves wearing a flashy costume.

I love that two of the funniest sketches they did (this and Van Hammersly) were two of their cleanest. It's a testament to the strength of their material overall.

That's my all-time favorite Mr Show sketch, and it's from their last episode, a great indicator that they had a lot of fuel left in the tank.
