Solid point. If you’re paying attention and not driving recklessly, and something outrageous doesn’t happen like a truck full of banana peels dumps its load in front of you before slamming on its brakes.

Yeah, I agree, this is more like, “here’s what hte car did that caused the accident,” not what YOU did (not pay attention to the road)
I think most of the things listed are CAUSED by distracted driving (aside from sleeping, I guess). You don’t rear end someone if you’re paying attention. You don’t drift out of your lane if you’re looking at the road.
Doesn’t really matter why, it obviously happens, and quite often. Every pump in the country has a safety release on the hose mostly for the reason of people driving away with the pump nozzle still in their car. Had to happen quite a bit before they mandated that.....
Depends on both the state (different states have different laws which may possibly ban them) and the station (some brands or even individual owners don’t like them as they increase the likelihood of someone driving if with the pump still in the car).
Trump supporters are so sensitive. Do you need your mommy cuz someone suggested that a show might be criticizing the president (the show was 100% intentionally criticizing the president)?
How about we just accept that people use different words for things and fuck all the way off with pedantic bullshit like this?
I heard a podcast once (99 PI I think) where they posited that while she may have been eccentric, the whole thing wasn’t, as legend states, a crazy attempt to escape the victims of Winchester firearms, but rather just a way for a woman of that era to dip her toe into experimental architecture.
Right, that’s why I noted that “even by his own admission”. Love that he can admit that.
Great call, those books were so frustrating.
What is it you didn’t like about it? Just curious. I like dark things so I can see if someone prefers a happier ending they might not like it.
First one that came to mind for me as well. Also by King, Stand By Me is better than The Body, and the movie The Mist beats the book even by King’s own admission because of the ending.
I’m not crazy about the FaceID over fingerprint thing in general, but I find the “use your face while sleeping” argument really silly. People can use your fingerprint FAR easier if you sleep, and it’s pretty easy to recreate a fingerprint from a 2d capture compared to a face, so this is still “more” secure right?
I think oyu’re conflating “should” and “would.” The programming should be adjusted here, but I think the car behaved EXACTLY as the majority of drivers would behave, both in where they positioned themselves and their lack of reaction. What percentage of drivers would actually back up or even be looking at the road…
Calm down, I actually don’t care what you wear, just making jokes. Dress like a hobo all you want.
We’re still judging you, we’re only doing it silently for fear of TSA tazing us.
When you’re sitting, your wang is facing straight ahead, slightly angled down. I’m sure it’s an anatomy thing but for some of us it’s more straight ahead than down, so it can basically clear the front of the toilet bowl on rare occasions (especially the U-shaped public toilet seats where you can’t tuck).
Literally my worst nightmare in a public scenario (mostly work). Happened once, I’m fucking diligent forever after.
I think the non-turbo really hampers it in the numbers department.
I had a therapist recommend this to me. I just can’t get over hte self-conscious hokeyness of it.
