Yeah I imagine you could make a pop-up headlight that was basically a small nub of LED lights, that didn't even protrude all that much. Kind of defeats the purpose of being pop-up though.

This. I never understood this logic. The point of the proximity key is it stays in your pocket / purse, not that you take it out and throw it on the dash or in the cupholder, and yet so many people do the latter. Defeats the entire purpose of "not having to dig for your key."
A bad implementation of a good feature doesn't make the feature bad, it makes the implementation bad. I don't think brakes are bad because they failed on me once on my old Ranger.
Well I definitely agree there. I have a blind spot monitoring system and still look the old fashioned way. I just disagree that it "defeats the purpose" to have it on the mirror. If you're not looking at all there's no hope for you.
How does that defeat the purpose? The idea is you're looking in your mirror to change lanes, and someone is hanging out in the area that the window doesn't cover, and it warns you.
Plenty of navigation apps on smartphones have an offline mode.
YES. I'm a proponent of daytime running lights done right, but it seems almost no one does them right anymore — your dash lights should be OFF unless your headlights are off. Honda and countless others just leave the dashboard lights on all the tiem with teh DRLs, and thus no one has ANY indication that their…
I live in a cold climate (New Hampshire) and still don't like seat warmers. I also don't like leather seats, so I think the two go hand in hand. Cloth seats aren't really that cold, and a warmed seat just gives me a sweaty ass.
Thanks! I thought what made it a p-trap was the horizontal section had to be at least as long as the curve is deep, which doesn't seem to be the case here.
Call me crazy, but ... isn't that an S-trap?
It's not a hard-and-fast rule, but it's definitely been commonplace for a few decades to have the ltitel arrow.
So I'm a lefty, and this is neato, but.... the text justification seems really weird for some reason.
THe worst part about talking to my dog is often either I or my wife will respond AS the dog, and then I'll respond to that fake response AS IF THE DOG SAID IT. Like :
I don't want to read it per se, I just don't care. 14 seconds of my life to go "hmph" is perfectly acceptable — I'm literally just killing time at work, reading a blog that at least 2x a day posts a video of a random car accident (something that happens FAR more often than a plane collision), so I can't imagine how…
A ground collision of two aircraft is news. Sorry. So sad for you that you not only "wasted like two minutes reading this" but also so many minutes commenting and reading replies to your comments. This story is like the end of your life as you know it, it's going to keep dragging you deeper and deeper into this…
Your own screen name pretty much covers it.
This is not something that happens often, it'll likely cause a LOT of delays on a large travel day at a huge airport, and the headline is very accurate and not at all dramatic.
And it's ONLY "full service"?
Why can't you go to a car wash that you can drive into yourself? Is this one so much better that it's worth letting a stranger drive your car?
Our Dyson is a completely different model and quite old. Thanks for the insight :)
