OH yes. I wouldn't go back to renting even if it were half the cost. The "freedom" and at least perceived permanence more than makes up for any negatives.

I don't understand the state color scheme... what does "home listing prices" mean? Median home price? Wyoming makes no sense to me, if that's the case.
Totally agree. I like supercars from like, an engineering standpoint, and woof woof faster power woof, but rarely does the mere look of them inspire anything but a shrug from me. They look like silly designs that 14-year olds thought up, half the time.
Not if you're a smart person, it doesn't.
Yeah, I get it, and it's definitely a personal decision. And durability is a huge consideration. Especially if you have kids. I have dogs but no kids, so it kind of feels like the opposite for me — I feel like their claws would destroy leather, while cloth kind of absorbs the damage.
Yeah I was wondering that too. If it's much safer as a kid now, is that partly BECAUSE kids are sheltered? And where's the crossover point?
It's funny, because I don't have kids, and remember fondly being given the freedom and independence of being by myself at a young age (I'm 34). But at the same time, if I did have kids... I can't honestly say I wouldn't be terrified to let them out unsupervised, even in a quiet neighborhood like where I grew up. …
Well, look, if you think there's some sort of payoff going on here and this is legitimately advertising in disguise, we have an issue.
These are very strange times for those of us who remember walking miles to school alone, but for every parent arrest story, there are more stories in the media of kids gone missing and child abductions. More of them, it seems, than "back in our day."
So all things that have nothing to do with actual use or comfort? Got it.
Thank you. Outside of the smell and coolness factor, I have no idea why people love leather so much. Too hot (and sticky) in summer, too cold in winter.
I gotta say, when I was car shopping a few months ago, it went about 50/50 — if manual was available, it was sometimes the added option and sometimes the base. They're becoming so rare in this country (US) that I have to imagine it costs them more per unit to produce and test, I'm surprised it's still a base option…
I mean, technically all those countries are part of NOrth America, if you want to be pedantic....
I assume he meant safer as in less likely to be disgusting, not dangerous.
That'sa great point I had not considered.
Or intelligent users.
I wish everyone would read this comment. This is how a normal thought process works - a knee jerk reaction, and then reflection. The Internet is like 6.5 billion people posting knee-jerk reactions and then using 10,000 words to justify that reaction.
THe problem with something like The Fast and the Furious is it's like having a strobe light going off in the corner of the room. Constant flashing, scene changes, explosions, bright colors.... modern action movies in general, while entertaining, are just a bad idea in this context.
It's funny, the only voice recognition system I have used that works is Google's, and it works because they just went brute force and analyzed an unimaginable amount of voice data. People freak out because GOogle "uses your data" but a lot of times the end result is something pretty great.
