20 dollars on a PAIR? That's insane. My cheap Hanes boxer briefs do no harm to my balls, and cost like, less than a quarter of that. You spend 300 dollars on jeans, don't you?

My mom used to make burgers on English Muffins, and I completely forgot about it until just now. Why didn't I continue this tradition? English Muffin buns are the best! To the Burgermobile!

I guess a lot of what I think about Michael Moore is colored by what the people who talk about him think about him, so maybe you're right. In general I would say it's ill-advised to be a public denouncer of greed and live an opulent lifestyle — even if it is technically consistent with your world view and message,

I agree with every word you said, and probably align very closely with you politically too. This article isn't about Moore being a bad person, it's about him being a hypocrite, and based on his film career and politics, I think he's certainly somewhere in that category (shades of gray, of course). I agree that fifty

There's 330 million people in America, give or take, so feel free to do some simple division.

Many, MANY people living in poverty could claim 50 million is more than one person could ever, ever need as well. People like Michael Moore have made a living making that argument in fact. You think you can just set the bar arbitrarily high so only the people you DON'T like get included?

Yup. I don't agree with his assessment of the effect on pollution or families, but he's absolutely right about this. Just look at the rail infrastructure in Europe compared to the US and you can see what our car culture has done. I say this as someone who lives and LOVES living outside of the city (and who loves

Fair enough. I'm not crazy about having digital things in this context, because when you need them the battery has a chance of being dead.

I wouldn't say it has ZERO to do with it. I've never seen a "quality" pen-style tire guage. And the form factor just doesn't lead itself to accurate readings.

But please not that kind. I find those pen-shaped tire gauges next to useless. Spend two more dollars and get one of the dial-gauge ones.

My exact thought. The biggest problem with the original was fuel economy, IMO (I never drove one, but... it's not a performance vehicle by any means, and looks are subjective, but for its size it should get way better than high 30's MPG).

I have quite a few friends who bought them, and had mostly good experiences (someone owned a recent CX-5 with the turbo, which was a universally maligned car, but other than that). I'm mostly worried about rust / paint / body issues from most things i've read.

A puppy?!

Sorry, when I said "Koreans" I meant the popular Korean brands imported to America, not the people. I hope that was obvious.

As someone who is about six months into Mazda ownership, these stories and comments are not sitting well.... :-/

Depending on what year we're talking about, it's accurate. The Koreans may ahve come into their own in the last decade, but when Hyundai was desperately trying to repair their American image, the warranty was really the ONLY reason a sane person would go near those cars.

My biggest problem with condo / apartment living is the proximity of neighbors. I lived in a lot of places before I bought my home, and every shared wall / floor / ceiling was a source of angst. I realize the sound of loud TVs or running children doesn't affect most people like it does me :)

This claims that you can import your settings / layout from other launchers, but I cannot for the life of me find the setting. Anyone?

I've heard this referred to more as a "best chance for" happiness than an actual marker of happiness. People are born with some baseline of how happy they are with life, and then their salary can kind of fine tune that. if you're an intrinsically happy and adjusted person, your salary isn't going to change it much,

I'm gonna assume your point was that I'm dumb, because it went right over my head.
