You guys really shouldn't have led with the cost thing. The reason to make this is not because it's cheaper than the dirt cheap instant Ramen, it's because it's better, with a happy byproduct of "oh yeah, it's also somehow even cheaper than the cheapest food on the planet." No one who buys Ramen for its cost si

I never consciously say "time for spring cleaning!" but when you open up those windows for the first warm spring weekend and realize the house has been closed up for six months.... you just want to do a purge and clean the shit out of everything.

Re : the flags on the moon : they're not even really American flags anymore, they're just white ghost flags. I feel like Gizmodo or someone did an article about this in the past year or so, but am too lazy to look it up, but solar radiation and all that shit just bleached them beyond recognition. It'd still be a

It would be many years until I'd even hear Jeremy Clarkson's name, but I like to think I was channeling him even back then. :)

I had a little Escort wagon when I was in college. Maybe a '92 or so? It certainly wasn't FUN to drive, but I beat the crap out of that thing (as college-aged drivers are wont to do)and it never let me down. One of the most utilitarian vehicles I've owned, but I still kinda miss it, despite most of my memories

Brooklyn eh? Must be some hipster joke I can make here, let's see....

In this vain, I saw a guy driving down the highway today with an iPad (or similarly sized tablet) mounted to his windshield with a suction cup. Now THAT looked ridiculous. And dangerous. And probably illegal.

*shakes fist* thanks Eisenhower!

It's not really this redesign that did that, though. This thing has gotten HUGE compared to early models (like all other cars, but it'd be nice if Subaru bucked the trend) long before the '15.

You're talking about Google here, the company that releases updated iOS apps for its servcies before Android.

Because you need / want the extra space? Cuz 'Murica?

This. Trust me, I own one. No LEDs or HID for me.

It's not that I disagree with you, but PLENTY of kids will fight bedtime regardless of how set-in-stone it is. I didn't generally because I was a pussy kid, but I remember my brother always throwing a fit at bed time, despite it being the same fucknig time every night. Some kids just suck, just like some parents (as

Hey leave Sherlock up there alone, he figured something out for himself and expects a cookie.

It's ugly, but it's just not THAT ugly for all the hate. Everything else about it is just... a cool, versatile SUV. Like, an Xterra meets a Honda Element.

I watched it too as a kid, and lived in Southern NH. I don't remember having any Canadian stations so I have to imagine a US station or six had it too.

Maybe brand new Jeeps are better, but normal jeeps are death traps (as they are, essentially, convertibles but with a high center of balance and awful handling). Fine for an adult but with kids? I see baby seats in Jeeps and cringe, and I don't even particularly like kids.

It's kinda funny only because they look silly on their backs, but it's pretty awful. It's no different than kicking over someone's motorcycle (actually probably far worse, as a moto can survive being kicked over aside from some scratches and maybe a bent piece or two for the most part).

I didn't mean to insinuate the article was wrong and that things HAD gotten better, I was only hoping for a modern follow-up in the HOPES that the had :)

Soooo... these planes were presumably from US carriers, and this finding by the WSJ was 12 years ago.... we're assuming nothing was done since thne? Any recent data? I have to imagine that such a violation of health standards would have been addressed by someone, no?
