It is the 8 speed torque converter transmission so the ‘old’ Quattro. The Quattro Ultra is only with the dual clutch transmission.
This is an appropriate time to bring up the Jaloptastic points of
No doubt. Vague references with no pertinent details. Almost like she skimmed an article from another web site and is just regurgitating what she remembers.
Okay, but like, what was the mistake, and how did it happen? All I see in the article is something about stacking discounts, but nothing about what the discounts were, or where that $8 million ended up.
This car is sadly let down by its headlamps. It’s like they designed a sleek front end shape and then weren’t quite sure where to put the lamps. So they put them on a that weird, twisting, flattened surface transitioning into the fender and called it a day. They have a “stuck on decal” type quality that you normally…

How many miles per gallon does it get per ton of krill it filters down it’s gullet? Will Japanese and Faroe Islanders try to harpoon it? Does it have a cigarette lighter?
Width is always more important than length. As my father once said(to my horror):
Great. Another expensive, high profit margin feature that manufacturers want to replace a simple feature that has literally never been a problem. STAHP.
I feel like this is one of those situations where “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” applies. Just from the cost alone its not worth it. I can see them adding option cameras in addition to mirrors to eliminate blind spots, but cars cost enough as it is. Where is the line drawn on what should/shouldn’t be in a car etc?…
As a complement to actual mirrors, this is great. Some new cars will project the side camera image into the gauge cluster or info screen, and that’s super. But getting rid of the mirror is a terrible idea. Camera circuitry can fail. The screen the image is displayed to can fail. Software can be buggy and crash.
about $15000 ago I figure.
I’m 47 so even with a backup camera in my car I still use my mirrors and/or look over my shoulder. I also run a technology business so I love gadgets. I’m torn about this.
On one hand, I can see this technology providing people with a clearer view, reducing blind spots, and providing additional information not…
Because everything has to be spun to get Trump out of office, didn’t you get the gawker memo?
When will they make it stop looking like it has the face of a jumping spider?
Just leaving this here.

Car and Driver tested the 2.7 EcoBoost MKX with just FWD:
I dig it. My prediction: Lincoln will be making a lot of more of these than anticipated. And who know... maybe it will even fund a proper RWD replacement.
