Ugh... why does it have to look like that?

What a shit design.

YES. This color needs to happen in more cars.

the dashboard is composed of painted, frosted Plexiglass

Just stick to this basic shape

Truck buyers in the US are paying too much.

Still not crazy about Ford’s C-shaped headlights (looks ok on F150 but weird as hell on the Super Dutys imo), but overall... damn that thing looks pretty freakin sweet. Would buy.

Saw the Gladiator earlier today at the auto show - this sweet black Rubicon

GM is banking on Cruise autonomous ride-hailing becoming the prevalent mode of transportation.

What are the obstacles to this being sold in the US?

They should build it like that from the factory, on the new RWD D6 platform.

1. Don’t make it look stupid. You could have the best technology in the world, but I’m never going to buy something that looks like an insect or doofus or dorky spaceship. Just make it look like a regular car.

Clear, with just a hint of Amber to let you know she’s there

I think the second gen Ridgeline looks fine for what it is, aside from the front end styling, which I don't like. I’d prefer something that looks a bit truckier; I don’t want a Honda Pilot Pickup.

If a FWD-based unibody platform is the price we pay to have a legit small(ish) pickup these days, I will accept it. Early 2000s Taco is a good size and fairly close to the good old Ranger.

First take: It’s ugly as fuck, a downgrade in terms of design compared to the current model, which may have aped a Range Rover but at least looked premium. It looks like a fucking pre-facelift Edge. I’m thrilled about the RWD platform, but couldn’t conceivably ever buy something that looks like that.

WTF BMW that is horrendous. Whoever designed it needs to have their head examined, and the person who approved that shit should be fired. These grilles are getting ridiculous.

The manual will only be available with FWD and in the lowest trims, and only in Europe.

It looks like an LR4

I’m well aware of that. What I’m saying is, given the Fusion is on its way out, and Ford is about to introduce the D6 platform (that can be configured for RWD and longitudinal engines and will underpin vehicles such as the new Aviator & Explorer and probably the next Mustang) Ford should move Continental to D6 where
