Tell me about it. Cadillac is among the worst when it comes to building some of the most beautiful concepts in the industry, and then killing us by not producing any of them.
I’ve always loved that one as well, in spite of the front end, which was terribly fucked up and ill-proportioned. Everything else about that design was fucking fantastic. Classic BMW.
It looks ok from the front, though I won’t be the first to say the kidney grilles are becoming caricatures of themselves. The rear bumper area looks... not ok. Idk WTF that’s about.
Never buy in a neighborhood with an HOA.
Not crazy about the front end, but hey, people bought the Cherokee, and everything else looks good. It’s a nice design. If this thing comes to America looking like that, equipped like that, with performance like that, and actually turns out to be a quality vehicle, I think it could sell like hotcakes. Might actually…
Yes, it does.
The rear window isn’t armored, but the car does have a steel bulkhead behind the seats that acts as a shield for the passengers’ heads.
Looks like a solid interior update, albeit with far too much “aluminum” brightwork for my taste. Hopefully MB offers a variety of woods as an alternative.
Indeed, the windshields were flat for a reason...
Glad to see the process is quicker and easier, though I agree it doesn’t look particularly good with the folded top stacked on top of the back like it is. More notable, however, is the manner in which the windshield “folds” - when I heard this feature would carry over to the JL, I assumed it would work like previous…
That sure as hell looks like some kind of freak fish. These new Bentleys just seem to be getting uglier. It looks like a Chinese knockoff of itself. Anyone who would pay $3.5 million for that should see a psychiatrist. Even if I had the money, I’d rather have a late model Azure, which can easily be had for $80-100K…
What the hell happened to the front end of it?

Looks like shit. Who do they think they are, BRABUS?
...namely a plan to reduce the number of combinations customers can have for a vehicle. For example, the Fusion currently has 35,000 combinations, Ford said. Under Hackett’s vision, that’ll drop to just 96.
Tone down the grilles. It looks ridiculous in that X7 concept, like big bunny teeth. And stop connecting the headlights to the grilles.
