The full time, rear-biased AWD is what made Audi special, and a cut above most other AWD vehicles, imho. I can’t help but feel this is a mistake, and a big step backwards. It's a shame, they were starting to get really, really good.
Check out the dash-to-axle ratio on that thing... yikes.
This is a way better solution than modifying the body panels for “pedestrian safety,” resulting in the bloated, ungainly appearance so many modern cars suffer from.
