And how could I forget...

It has been addressed, by a major competitor. Looks a hell of a lot better, too. Mercedes is just being lazy.

Oh, where do I start...

I wonder at what point "luggage" morphed into the bulky, lumpy awkward wheeled contraptions of today. I struggle to find a simple rectangular suitcase, like this optional Karl Baisch set for the 300SL Gullwing.

Oh I know what it is, and I certainly appreciate the technology, that's cool. What drives me nuts is how fucking ugly it is. This is Mercedes-Benz, I'd expect them to engineer a better solution than that. Hide it in the windshield or lower front fascia (for the love of God make it symmetrical) like Audi does. The

I do not want an ugly plastic plate stuck in the middle of the grille of my $166,000 car.

You've done American, you've done British, you've done Italian; all 3 were V8's. What you need, sir, is a healthy dose of German V12 in your life. I submit for your consideration:

I've never seen it before, at least not on a commercial airliner. I imagine the passengers in those seats must feel as if they're being shoved forward on takeoff.

We do not want this.

The V6 cars with all-wheel drive are automatic only.

Japan seems to be incredibly efficient at construction. Below is a road destroyed by the 2011 earthquake, and that same road after it had been reconstructed. Total time? 6 days.

Thank you! I am SO happy you brought this up, because it really sucks.
I HAAATE the Distronic shield. Hate hate hate that fucking hideous piece of plastic.

They all look good, are decently affordable, are the best driver's cars in their segments, and are generally available with a manual (though, regrettably, not manual+AWD). Oh yeah, and diesels are (allegedly) coming. I fucking love this car company.

It looks goofy from the front

I like the way you think.

..the little silver AMG lip

Agreed. I'm really not a fan of the V-themed center stack with all that black plastic. Looks really cheap to my eye. And think of the fingerprints... ugh.

It all comes down to the smug factor. The only reason for the S400 is so some rich douchebags can still smugly say "I drive a hybrid" without having to put put around in some plastic-fastastic econobox.

That puts Snyder in a tough position. He can either approve the bill and keep his dealer constituents happy or veto the legislation and run counter to the recent stance by other Republicans – including New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, Texas Gov. Rick Perry, and U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio – all of which have come in favor
