No, the TLX will not save Acura. At its best, the TLX is still a FWD-based 290 hp V6 Accord with an ugly beak and spider eyes headlamps. And nobody wants to pay $45K for that.
Or hide it in the lower front fascia like Audi does. Or maybe integrate it into the windshield somehow. This is Mercedes... I'm sure they can come up with something besides an ugly plastic plate in the grille.
Distronic shield. Becoming quite common on many vehicles with the proliferation of radar-based adaptive cruise in recent years. Mercedes has been doing it for years and is a particularly egregious offender. Here's an example on a W221. Was also an option on the W220.
I'm pretty sure the S350 Bluetec only came with 4matic, at least in the US.
Since 1979...
Amazing how sales spiked in 2004 with the introduction of the third generation TL (which was and still is one of Acura's best designs IMHO), then plummeted (28%!) when the "big beak" came out in 2009. The numbers don't lie, Acura.
I hate this. Shitty options packaging ruins so many cars for me.
You know, I haven't been able to put my finger on what I don't like about it, but I think you just nailed it. Though I wouldn't like it up near the hood either (hello Toyota.. IMHO that looks stupid). I think if the emblem was about an inch lower (centered in the grille) and roughly 70% of its current size that would…
Shit, that looks downright menacing.

No premium trim on the V6?
