It seems like their test scores were one of the few legitimate things on their transcripts:

I guess they technically gave him a platform in letting him explain what happened but he honestly comes out of that article looking like garbage so I’m kind of okay with what they did. If they gave him a platform, they also gave him a lot of rope with which to hang himself.

I admit that when the first round of this Farrakhan/Women’s March criticism took over my newsfeed earlier this year, I read some shallow coverage of it and then backed away because I did not have it in me at that moment in time to really examine what was going on. I never got around to returning to it so I very much

Figured that might be the case. Hopefully karma gets him.

It’s probably too late now but that seems like something his state’s character & fitness committee would have been interested in knowing when he applied for the bar. Or at least something that I wish they would know about because this infuriates me.

Just watched this movie tonight because of this suggestion so thank you for this! Netflix is really bad at recommending stuff I actually want to see so I had not seen this movie on there or even heard about it before today. Loved it and it was the perfect antidote to election-night stress.

In my personal opinion, Vanderpump Rules is the single best reality television show in existence. It is a work of art. Cannot recommend it highly enough. You just have to get to the point where you understand that there is no one to root for on the show and just enjoy the work the producers and editors do to show how

Thank you for your response! And a more general thank you for your patience in always answering all these immigration law questions in the comments of immigration articles. I have learned a lot from your comments

I think you basically already said this but I want to clarify that I am understanding correctly so I’m sorry to make you repeat: this would be a somewhat retroactive thing, right? Aka because it is changing the definition of public charge, it would impact people who have been using these programs that were previously

I took the Bar Exam! I was so nervous leading up to it but I tentatively think I did okay... Results aren’t back until November so for now I get to enjoy three weeks of summer in blissful ignorance before my clerkship starts.

I feel like Kanye West did something like this to Kim Kardashian, although, to his credit, he at least did it in her presence instead of behind her back. But still. I get so skeeved out by people who think it’s okay to change the way their partner dresses.

Out of curiosity, what kind of area do you live in (urban, rural, expensive area, etc)? I’m curious how this might differ based on the characteristics of the community.

The set of metal straws I bought on Amazon came with a brush to clean them! It takes a total of 5 seconds despite the fact that my husband and I are the only dishwashers in our kitchen. You can probably buy the brush by itself or buy a new set that comes with one.

Too bad the recent Epic Systems SCOTUS decision on arbitration will probably make class action employment litigation mostly obsolete over time! We’re all doomed.

I recently watched (for the first time) all the early seasons with my sister who had watched them as they were airing. When Lala first started on the show I HATED her and bitched about her constantly. My sister would just smile serenely and say “just wait.” And then I caught up to the most recent season as it was

At the time I responded, which was before you by several hours, it said ABC, NBC, or CBS. I had to google whether a show I posted about was on one of those three networks since I watch it on hulu so I double-checked which three networks the original commenter mentioned in their post. You likely misread it. Not a big

I very much enjoy Superstore and the Good Place for fun non-serious shows that don’t depress me

The label can reject any album she tries to put out if it isn’t of the same style of music as she was signed to create. I don’t remember the exact wording off the top of my head but she wouldn’t be able to get away with putting out a handful of crap albums, or even decent albums from an unpopular genre that is too far

100% agreed! But at the same time, if it is standard in your industry to require arbitration agreements and the job market is tough, most employees realistically don’t have the bargaining power to refuse to sign them. Many employers would just hire someone else. Not likely with this Congress but hopefully a future

Depends on the place. Most places will stick them in the middle of that big stack of hiring paperwork you fill out either as a separate document or as part of a more general policies type of document. Epic Systems, one of the corporations in the case that made it up to SCOTUS, actually emailed it out to their entire
