those sports don’t have international competition that the USA wants to compete in. Each sport you list there claims the US domestic competition is the “world championship”. There isn’t a big problem with pick up football not happening because there is no outside competition from countries with that system.
Title IX is categorically why the USA is in the top of pretty much every women’s organised sport. Volleyball, Basketball, Football (soccer to you), Track & Field (except netball but that’s a bit of a British colonial game).
