These Universe 6 characters are on the same level potential-wise as Goku and Vegeta. Think about it this way. In less than one generation we have a situation where Super Saiyans go from being just barely remembered legends to there being several of them. Both universes are currently seeing a generation who outclass

This actually looks like it might be ok. Part 4 really lends itself to stand alone adaptation. It’s far enough removed from the vampire saga to not get weighed down with lore, but it’s connected enough to suggest a long, rich history of good vs evil when it needs to. Josuke is a fun, charismatic protagonist. Jotaro is

I’m sure it’s being talked about. But 5e’s crowning achievement is in its accessibility. That’s the main reason we’re seeing this new golden age of D&D interest. The books being released now are not these impenetrable giant tomes of lore that that are only marginally useful in most games. They’re taking the best stuff

About the same time rock music stopped being the devil’s music and became the dads’ music.

For what it’s worth, Sophie Crumb grew up to be a cartoonist herself. Enid’s drawings in Ghost World are actually credited to Sophie.

MST3K is one of the most important tv shows ever made. Size of the audience is no measure of influence. It’s like that old saying about about the Velvet Underground: They didn’t sell many records but everyone who bought one started a band.

Same reason we all shake our heads when everyone’s kids are watching minecraft youtubes 5 hours at a time

How are you reading Kotaku in 2017 and somehow mystified by the concept of professional streaming?

Hm. Most popular character from the decade’s most inexplicably popular show. Make him a cute kid. Set it in “real america” so our nerd clown can learn important life lessons from “real americans.” Liberally apply Wonder Years style schmaltz.

this was 10 minutes well spent

Same as a LOT of manga and comics. Scott McCloud defined the technique as the “masking effect” in Understanding Comics. It’s always interesting to see which artists do everything themselves and who has a team of assistants. Hanazawa Kengo seems to rely on assistants for the backgrounds and tones so he can fully devote

“Burt, you asshole! There’s no bullets in this gun!”

That’s dumb that he regenerated his adamantium skeleton. Like dumber than usual comic book dumb.

I did know that despite having NO practical reason for having that knowledge take up space in my brain.

I dunno if scars would immediately heal after his mutant powers kicked in, but in his entire superhero tenure he must have had his dick blown clean off AT LEAST once, at which point it would regenerate with foreskin. Although, now that that’s settled, we must determine the status of his belly button.

Those are pichus. note the fur pattern on the ears and back. Also, platypi are born from eggs and they nurse their y—WHAT THE FUCK HAS THE INTERNET DONE TO MY BRAIN?????

I believe Attack the Light based their character art directly on the the show’s long distance models. The details don’t get lost at smaller sizes which is important for smaller screens and it makes sense for the group shot, RPG look of the game. And Save the Light’s backgrounds look like they’re 3D cell shaded

I still can’t believe this is happening. Whatever. As long as it means Jojo continues to gain traction and the anime keeps getting renewed I can’t complain.
